Haryana: A notification has been issued regarding the new cabinet in Haryana and portfolios of ministers in the newly formed government. After about a month, the allocation of ministerial portfolios was announced. The notification about the portfolios distributed to the state ministers was still awaited. A corresponding notification was discussed on Thursday. Due to this, most ministers faced a staffing crisis as the department was vacant.

Minister Ranjit Singh, who resigned from the post of MLA, is also included in the list.

The name of resigned Ranjit Singh Chautala is also included in the notification on allotment of ministers to the department issued after a month. According to the statement, Naib Saini did not retain the financial portfolio with him like Manohar Lal did. Saini has retained the home ministry, which was under former home minister Anil Vij. On March 12, Naib Saini took oath as Prime Minister and Kanwar Pal, Moolchand Sharma, Ranjit Singh, Jaiprakash Dalal and Banwari Lal took oath as Cabinet Ministers. After this, Lok Sabha elections were announced on March 16. On March 19, Naib Saini’s cabinet was expanded in which Kamal Gupta was sworn in as the cabinet and Seema Trikha, Mahipal Dhanda, Aseem Goyal Nanyula, Dr. Abhay Singh Yadav, Subhash Sudha, Bisambar Singh and Sanjay Singh were sworn in as Ministers of State (Independent Charge).

The ministers held office on the basis of an oath

The surprising thing is that last month all ministers held office solely on the basis of an oath. The Secretary General did not issue any notification to allocate departments to the ministers. Because of this, the staff of ten ministers had not yet been assigned. Due to a lack of notification, the names of the ministries were not recorded on the nameplates placed in front of their offices. The details of ministers have also not been updated on government websites. Haryana Chief Secretary TVSN Prasad has issued a notification and allotted departments to all ministers of the state. As soon as the decision on the allocation of departments was issued, the process of allocating staff to the ministers and minor changes in their offices also began.

Prime Minister Nayab Saini retained 14 departments

Prime Minister Nayab Saini has retained a total of 14 departments. As per the protocol, Kanwar Pal will now be number two in the government. He is responsible for a total of six departments. Mool Chand Sharma, JP Dalal and Kamal Gupta got four departments each and Banwari Lal got three departments. All ministers of state with independent leadership are each assigned two departments.
