Rohtak. Development and Panchayat Minister Devendra Babli said that the government has taken initiatives to provide city-like facilities in villages. Officials should ensure that official orders are followed, and through enhanced mutual coordination, they should implement development work with high quality and on time. After the development work has been completed, payment should also be made as quickly as possible.

Devendra Singh Babli chaired the review meeting of government programs and rural development works with the officials of Development and Panchayat Department at the auditorium of the local district development building. He said officials should change their working style and increase the pace of development work. He said that the government has created a system for proper utilization of public money and changed the old system. The government has determined the period for the process of development works and the responsibilities of officials under the Resolution Management System. He made it clear that strict action would be taken against those who hampered development works.

While reviewing the development works of the Zilla Parishad, the Development and Panchayat Minister gave directions to investigate the delay in implementation of the works of the Zilla Parishad. He said officials should increase the pace of development work. He also gave instructions to study the development works like gymnasium etc. in Nindana village. He reviewed the available funds section by section and instructed those responsible to begin development work soon with the remaining funds. He directed all block development and panchayat officials to organize meetings with sarpanches to get information about the major problems of the villages and also visit the villages.

Babli gave clear instructions to the officials and said that the government has increased the respect of public representatives by increasing their fees. Officials should also clarify the timely payment of fees to public representatives. Funds allocated by the government for development works should be used transparently. The rights of public representatives have been explained in the Panchayati Raj Act. He said MNREGA assistants will be deployed to expedite MNREGA work. Officials should inform villagers and public representatives about the government plans and not mislead public representatives about the tender process.
