Manohar Lal is still the Chief Minister of Karnal: the board installed in front of his residence in Prem Nagar proves this.

Dharmendra Khurana, Karnal: Manohar Lal, Lok Sabha candidate from Karnal and former Chief Minister of Haryana, is still the Chief Minister of Karnal. The plaque installed in front of his residence in Prem Nagar still proves this today. Although “Pre” appears before his name on the nameplate at his residence, he is still the Prime Minister on the plaque outside. Furthermore, Manohar Lal is incorrectly referred to as the Prime Minister in many places in the messages sent by the party. Even though the party has named him as the Lok Sabha candidate, looking at his Laav Lashkar, it does not appear that he is a former chief minister. Perhaps this is the reason why he still sits as Prime Minister in the minds of workers.

Manohar Lal rented a house in Sector 6.

It is to be noted that former chief minister Manohar Lal, after being declared the Lok Sabha candidate, rented a house in Sector 6 from where he is taking charge of the entire election campaign. All workers and visitors come and go here. Earlier, when he first became chief minister, he had rented a house in Prem Nagar. After this, in the second term, he bought house number 719 in Prem Nagar and made it the party office. Later it became the official residence of the Prime Minister where people’s problems were heard. Now that he is contesting the Lok Sabha elections and has resigned from the post of Chief Minister, the Chief Minister’s board is still based at his Prem Nagar residence.

Manohar Lal had resigned from the post of MLA along with the post of CM.

Let us tell you that Manohar Lal had resigned from the post of CM on March 12 and the next day i.e. March 13 he had also resigned his membership of the Assembly. The Karnal assembly seat fell vacant for by-elections from where BJP’s Kurukshetra MP Nayab Saini was made the chief minister and made the candidate from the Karnal seat. Now he has to win this by-election to remain prime minister. Although he has inaugurated his election office for the assembly elections in Karnal, it is yet to be decided which will be his official residence.
