Mahendragarh: The Department of Physics and Astrophysics of the Central University of Haryana has received a grant of Rs 2 million for improving the infrastructure of the Department of Science and Technology under a research project. Rector of the University Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar congratulated the faculty members, students and researchers of the Department of Physics and Astrophysics on receiving the scholarship.

He emphasized research useful to society and encouraged the department to establish research collaboration with nearby institutions so that their researchers would benefit from using the research infrastructure to be developed in the department due to the grant. Head of the Department of Physics and Astrophysics of the university, Prof. Sunita Srivastava said that under this FIST grant, the university will receive three high-tech devices for research. This will help students and researchers to conduct research in the relevant area. Previously, researchers and faculty members conducting research in the field of materials science had to enlist the help of other academic institutions for these instruments. The project was awarded primarily to strengthen research facilities in the department.
