Rohtak. Late on Monday night, five to six bike riders beat a young man to death with sticks at a liquor shop near the Asan village bus stand on Sonipat Road in the city after a minor altercation. Six to seven youths from Kansala village who came on bikes were accused of the murder. The police seized the body, registered a case against the accused and began investigations. An argument occurred while purchasing goods in the store

According to the information, three to four youths from Kansala village came to the liquor outlet near Asan bus stop in the village late at night to buy alcohol. During this time, the young man who was present at the liquor sale asked to pick up the goods soon, citing that the store was closed. There was then an argument between the shop owner and the cyclist. When the villagers came to know about this, they intervened and calmed the matter down. The young people then rode their bikes into the village. The shopkeeper was preparing to close the shop when Rinku from Asan Village came to the shop. At the time of the incident, along with the shop owner, Rinku from Asan village was also in the shop.

Seven to eight youths attacked with sticks

After the villagers calmed down the matter, six to seven youths from Kansala village again reached the shop on bikes. When he reached the store, he started arguing with the store owner again. The accused beat Rinku with sticks and fled from the spot. Rinku was admitted to the PGI injured. Where he died on Tuesday morning.

Sarpanch reached the police station with the villagers

After receiving information about Rinku’s death while undergoing treatment at PGI, Sarpanch Satyendra Hooda reached the IMT police station along with the villagers and demanded strict action against the accused.
