Kurukshetra: Police ASI posted at PCR was caught red-handed taking bribe

Kurukshetra: The anti-corruption team on Wednesday caught ASI Anand, who is stationed at the Police PCR near Umri Chowk, in the act of taking a 30,000 rupee bribe. ASI Anand is accused of charging a monthly fee of Rs 30,000 for removing overloaded vehicles. The anti-corruption bureau team overwhelmed the ASI and initiated investigation.

ASI Anand demanded bribes to remove overloaded vehicles. The complainant submitted this complaint to the Panchkula Anti-Corruption Bureau Headquarters. The Bureau formed a team led by Sandeep Kumar, Inspector of Karnal’s Anti-Corruption Bureau. The team had given Rs 15,000 to the color complainant and asked to hand over this money to ASI Anand posted at PCR. The complainant gave money to ASI Anand and motioned to the team. As soon as the signal was received, the anti-corruption bureau team nabbed ASI Anand while he was red-handed taking bribes. The ACB team overpowered the accused and took him to the ACB police station in Kurukshetra where the accused’s hands, which turned red, were washed. The ACB police took the defendant ASI Anand to the LNJP hospital for a medical examination and then brought him before the court.
