Kaithal: In the month of June, the police had the criminals completely under control. Police this month arrested 111 defendants in 90 counts of alcohol and drug smuggling, theft, robbery, burglary, gambling and so on.

In June, police arrested 62 defendants in 41 property cases and seized Rs.3,867,244 worth of stolen public property from their possessions. Investigating 9 theft cases and arresting 11 defendants recovered 73,000,494 lakh rupees worth of stolen public property from their possession, rupees 58,000,500 lakh stolen property from the possession of 20 defendants in 10 counts of burglary and 4 property valued at 3 lakh 72,000 rupees by arresting 4 defendants in counts, arresting 15 defendants in 14 counts of vehicle theft and seizing public property valued at 3 lakh 20,000 rupees from their possession and 12 defendants in 4 counts of robbery . Public property valued at 9 lakh rupees 43 thousand 250 recovered.

Last month, 10 defendants were arrested by registering 10 cases under the NDPS law and conducting a special campaign against drug traffickers. From his property, 6,660 kg of ganja, 22 grams of heroin (chitta), 53 grams of charas and 1,770 kg of stolen poppies, 376 grams of opium, 10,500 kg of doda and 15 injectable drugs were seized. On the other hand, in 31 cases registered under the Excise Law, 30 defendants were arrested from whose possessions 71 bottles of artisanal liquor, 1664.50 bottles of country liquor, 36 bottles of English, 17 bottles of beer and 1040 liters of Lahan were seized. Under the Gambling Act, three defendants were arrested in three cases and gambling/speculation money worth Rs. 7,280 was confiscated from their possession. In 5 cases of possession of illegal ammunition, 4 domestic pistols and 5 live cartridges were seized from the possession of 6 suspects. In addition, 2 bell jumpers and 20 PO were also checked in June.
