Kaithal: Fraud worth millions in the name of a partnership

Kaithal: On the pretext of running rice business together, three accused cheated a businessman of several hundred rupees. The aggrieved businessman filed a police report against the defendant. Following the victim’s complaint, the police registered a case against the accused and initiated an investigation.

Saurav Kumar, a resident of Yamunanagar, Jagadhri district, said that he started the rice business in 2021 in association with rice traders Santosh Agrahari, Gulab Chand and MS Kanhaiya Traders at the old grain market Kaithal. Their partnership went smoothly for some time, but later the three accused together started cheating him in monetary transactions. When he came to know about this, the accused had committed fraud worth thousands of rupees. When he demanded bills from the defendants and asked them to give him money, he was threatened with death. In this regard, he had recourse to the judiciary, on whose orders a case was initiated against the accused at the city police station. Investigating officer Rajendra Singh said the police have registered a case against the accused and have initiated an investigation.
