Kaithal: Two youths were cheated out of 21,000 rupees under the pretense of sending them to America. The victims complained to the police. The police have started a case against the nominated couple and have launched an investigation.
Gurmel Singh from Peedal village claimed in his complaint to Cheeka Police that he spoke to Subhash from the village. Subhash told him he was working on sending youth abroad. Hearing their words, he presented the defendant with the passport of his son Ranveer Singh and his relative from Jobna Kheda Aditya village. He and his wife Mukesh said he would send them both to America soon. Both demanded 40 lakh rupees for it and said that 10 lakh had to be paid in advance and the remaining 30 lakh would be paid after receiving the US visa.
Later the defendant informed that they would send both to Tanzania to America. The defendant took an amount of 21 lakh 12000 from him and at the same time demanded more fees. Despite repeated requests, the defendant did not send either of them from Tanzania to America. When he came back with great difficulty and asked for his money back, the defendant flatly refused to hand over the amount and also threatened him. He complained about it to the police. Sub-Inspector Bilasa Ram, the officer investigating the case, said the police had registered a case and started an investigation. The accused couple is soon arrested.
