Kaithal: While investigating the case of cheating of several hundred rupees by an agent in the name of sending two youths from Mundri village to America, ASI Randeep of Pundri police station arrested the accused Vishal, a resident of Ahar village in Panipat district. The police are investigating the case and interrogating the accused.

According to the complaint, Raghbir Singh, a resident of Mundri village, met his distant relative Sonu, a resident of Kaul, in December 2021. Sonu got him to send his son Gagandeep and village woman Kalavati’s son Vikram to America for 32 lakh rupees each. One day Sonu made him meet Suba and Sunita, residents of Kaul. Sonu took the passport from her house and asked to send the children to America in 15 days. The defendant then sent the ticket photos of both children via WhatsApp. Sonu talked about sending both boys to America via Dubai. According to the complainant, Gagandeep and Vikram were sent to Dubai from Delhi Airport on February 16, 2022. After a week, Gagandeep was sent to Serbia and Vikram was kept in Dubai.

Another Rs 8 lakh was collected in the name of sending Vikram to Serbia. Vikram was also sent to Serbia after receiving the money. Afterwards, when the family members spoke to Vikram and Gagandeep, they came to know that both the youths had been released to the Serbian mafia gang. Both boys were taken through the forest to the Greek border, where they were caught by police. The police left the teenager near the Macedonian border. Sonu collected another 12 lakh rupees by saying that he would send the youth to America by ship. Nevertheless, both teenagers were detained in Greece for four months. The police caught the teenager in Greece. The police deported him.

According to the complainant, when he asked Sonu to return his money, at first he continued to promise to give the money but later he along with his family members flatly refused to give the money and threatened to kill him. A case has been registered in this regard in various sections of Pundri police station. Two other accused have already been arrested in the said case. The accused Vishal was also involved in the said case. The accused will be produced in court on Monday and questioned by the police.
