Jind: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has sent letters to government hospitals seeking important information to deal with the change in weather and the threat of Covid-19. This is done so that a renewed spread of Covid-19 can be contained in a timely manner and treatment options can be available to people affected by Covid-19 at the state level. The letter asked hospital management how many beds there are in the hospital, how many ventilators there are, how many oxygen facilities there are and where the intensive care units are located. In addition, records from doctors, nurses and medications were also obtained. The health department has collected the data of all this information and uploaded it on the health department portal.

The civil hospital at the district headquarters has 200 beds. If Corona spreads, there is a special isolation ward here in the old building. There are eight to ten beds available on each ward. An oxygen system is only available at 200 beds in the hospital. Additionally, if arrangements for oxygen need to be made, appropriate facilities are available. Sampling was stopped due to Corona. Sampling is now being increased again so that more and more people can be sampled. There is a heavy crowd at the OPD and medicine counter in the civil hospital. Outsourced employees are deployed here to maintain a safe distance.

This is what the civil hospital needs

The oxygen plant installed by PM Care at the Civil Hospital in the district headquarters has not been functioning for about six months. In addition, work has not yet started on setting up an intensive care unit here. There are 55 positions for doctors while only 32 are employed. There is also a shortage of nursing staff. The civil hospital needs a doctor, a radiologist, a skin, eco and cardiac specialist.
