Jind: The body of a person who went missing from New Krishna Colony was found hanging from a tree near Anupgarh village after five days. The family members described the deceased as mentally disturbed. Sadar police station conducted a post-mortem on the body and handed it over to the family. The police are investigating the matter

Jile Singh, a resident of New Krishna Colony, had left home for work on November 7 and did not return home thereafter. After searches and interrogations, no trace of him could be found. On Sunday, Jile Singh’s body was found hanging from a tree near Anupgarh village. The incident came to light when a shepherd arrived there to graze sheep and goats. The smell came from between the trees. When he looked up from a tree, a man was hanging. Since the corpse was hanging on the tree for a long time, it gave off a foul smell. After receiving information about the incident, Sadar police station reached the spot, took the body into custody and shifted it to the civil hospital.

The deceased’s son Surendra said his father Jile Singh was mentally disturbed. Earlier, he had also tried to hang himself near Ramrai village but the villagers had stopped him. Left home on November 7th saying he was going to work. Since no clues were found, a police report was filed on November 10th. On Monday, police conducted an autopsy on the body and handed it over to the family members. Investigating officer of Sadar police station, Wazir, said that the deceased went missing on November 7. His body was found hanging from a tree on Sunday evening. After identification, the body was autopsied and handed over to the family.
