Yogendra Sharma: Chandigarh. The arrest of two IAS officers of Haryana cadre in a corruption case has become a matter of discussion and debate in the bureaucracy. At the same time, the ACB (Anti Corruption Bureau) has not submitted any official information to the Haryana HR department in the case of arrest of two officials. Regarding the entire matter, the Haryana HR department has sent a letter to the ACB in-charge citing the news in the media in this regard and requesting not to receive any official information about both arrests and to provide complete information in this regard .

What is noteworthy here is that the Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau team had arrested the IAS (MD) officer posted at Haryana Warehousing just a week ago. The ACB team had nabbed the officer in question by exposing the allegation of bribing a district head of his own department. A day before Jaiveer Arya’s arrest, the ACB team had also arrested IAS Vijay Dahiya, he was summoned for questioning in a bribery case. After the interrogation, the arrest took place. Arya had also served as deputy commissioner in Bhiwani district. Arya is accused of demanding a bribe of Rs 5 lakh for the post of district manager in Kurukshetra. Just a day before Jaiveer Arya’s arrest, the team had also arrested General Manager (GM) of Haryana Skill Employment Corporation Vijay Dahiya in a Rs 5 lakh bribery case. Following the arrest of Haryana Warehousing Corporation managing directors Jaiveer Arya and Vijay Dahiya, both information on suspension of officials is underway. Officers are suspended within 48 hours of their arrest. There are reports of these two being suspended, but top officials have not yet confirmed this.
