The Haryana Board of School Education has imposed Section 144 for all examination centers established in all districts with regard to the secondary and high school examinations (re-examination, additional subjects, partial improvement of grades) as well as the first and second year examinations (regular/reappearance/mercy chance) to be held from July 26 to August 23, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

A spokesman for the panel clarified, saying that carrying deadly weapons within 500 meters of any examination center set up by the Haryana School Education Board is totally prohibited. Photo shops and coaching centers remain closed during the exam period in the vicinity of the buildings around the exam center up to a radius of 500 meters on the day of the exam. Entry to the examination centers is not permitted without an identity card signed by the competent authority. This order does not apply to the police and other government employees on duty. Necessary action will be taken against those who fail to comply with orders under Section 144 of the Indian Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.
