Hansi: In Kumbha village on Tuesday afternoon, two innocent children slipped while playing on the path of Petwad tributary and fell into the canal. When the family members who were working in the surrounding fields saw the children falling into the canal, they jumped into the canal and saved one innocent child, but the other innocent child was swept away by the strong current of water. After receiving the information, Bass police station superintendent Mandeep Singh along with police, fire brigade and diving team reached the canal and conducted a rescue operation in search of the child, but no trace of the child was found anywhere. The police and fire brigade are busy searching for the innocent child.

Mandeep, the superintendent of Bass police station, said that Kundan Ram, a resident of Sukhrol village in Saharsa district of Bihar, and Azad Singh, a resident of Jagrawa village in Darbhanga district of Bihar, along with their family were sent to Kumbha village for forced labour They had come to harvest cumin seeds and had come to the bank of a canal. We lived in the room. On Tuesday, members of both families were busy harvesting cumin seeds in the fields near Petwad distribution and Kundan Ram’s four-year-old son Mansukh and Azad’s five-year-old Rajan were playing outside the room and while they were playing, the two children also caught the eye the path of the Petwad tributary and arrived where they slipped on both feet and fell into the canal. When the family members saw the children falling into the canal, they ran to the canal and managed to save 4-year-old Mansukh by jumping into the canal. However, due to the heavy flow of water, there was no sign of 5-year-old Rajan. The family members and the farm owner then informed the police about the incident. Police reached the spot and conducted a rescue operation in search of the child but to no avail. Meanwhile, 4-year-old Mansukh was admitted to a private hospital in the city for treatment where his condition is said to be fine.
