Gurugram: Three workers were electrocuted, one died

Gurugram: Three workers who were trying to install poles for solar lights in Sohna village, Samarthala were electrocuted. The current was so strong that all three fell about a meter away. One worker died in this incident. As soon as the information was received, the Sohna Police Station arrived on site and began an investigation by filing a manslaughter case against the contractor on the complaint of the injured person.

Suraj, a resident of Charkhi Dadri, said he works with the developer Sudhir. The contractor had asked him to install a solar light tower in the village of Samarthala. This work should be completed by five o’clock in the evening. For this work he and his companions Monu and Jeetu carried the pole on their shoulders. As they were walking, all three suddenly received a strong electric shock, causing all three to fall about a meter further. Monu was seriously injured in the incident and taken to a private hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. He claimed he had asked the contractor several times to provide safety equipment while the job was being done, but was not heard. As a result of the complaint, the police registered one case of manslaughter, which was not a murder. The police are investigating the matter
