Kurukshetra. Haryana Prisons Department Director General Akil Mohammad said that the first CNG pump in Haryana prisons has been installed at the filling station of Kurukshetra Jail. With this pump, citizens of the city can now obtain CNG gas for their CNG vehicles. This CNG pump is directly connected to the pipeline. Therefore, CNG gas can be filled into vehicles more quickly.
Director General Akil Mohammad spoke to the prison officials after inaugurating the CNG pump at the prison filling station on Pipli Road late on Sunday evening. Earlier, Director General Akil Mohammad and Jail Superintendent Somnath Jagat officially inaugurated the CNG pump and immediately after the inauguration, CNG gas was also filled in three to four vehicles. Through this CNG pump, hundreds of vehicle drivers in the city can get CNG gas directly in the city. Now people don’t have to go to GT Road or other places to fill up with CNG gas. This CNG pump is directly connected to the pipeline. Thanks to the online connection, CNG can be filled into vehicles at high speed.
Prison superintendent Somnath Jagat said that thanks to the efforts of Director General Akil Mohammad, the first CNG filling station was set up at Kurukshetra prison filling station. Now people can get a CNG plant in the city itself. After this pilot project, the facility of CNG gas filling station will also be available at the petrol pumps installed in other 11 prisons in the state. A charger will also be installed at this gas station in Kurukshetra Jail in the near future to charge electric vehicles and a department store will also be set up at this gas station. This pump is operated by prison inmates. Prisoners have come here from various prisons and are also being trained. He said that the first gas station pilot project in five states will be Kurukshetra gel station and CNG gas station. CNG gas facilities are available 24 hours a day at this gas station. Deputy Superintendent of Prisons Shivendra Pal Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Prisons Ashwini Kumar and other officials were present on the occasion.
