Fatehabad: A day before the District Bar Association elections, the Bar Association officials announced the inauguration of 116 new chambers by laying stones overnight. The inauguration will be marked on the stone by MLA Dudaram and Sessions Judge DR Chalia. The inauguration was scheduled to take place at 10:15 a.m. When the lawyers found out about this, they began protesting in front of the law offices. After this incident, neither the MLA nor the sessions judge came to inaugurate the chambers. In such a situation, Pradhan summoned some senior lawyers of the panel and opened it himself. Please note that the issue of construction and allotment of these chambers is still pending before the court.
Lawyers protesting at the courthouses said bar elections would be held on December 15 and the code of conduct was in effect. So how could the inauguration take place? Advocates Sube Singh Marothia, Pradeep Jangra etc. reported that a four-storey building has been constructed for the bar association’s lawyers. There are 29 chambers on each floor. A total of 116 chambers were built, during the construction of which numerous irregularities were committed. So far there is no water supply, no electricity connections and no ROs installed. There will be bar elections tomorrow. Principal Naresh Soni and secretary Sameer Sihag inaugurate half-finished rooms to add shine to their name.
In fact, his term ends today. Suddenly an inauguration program was created overnight. The bar association was also not informed, when the lawyers came to the court in the morning, the inauguration stone was attached to the wall and the walls were decorated with flowers. When the lawyers saw all this, they understood the matter. The names of MLA Dudaram and Sessions Judge DR Chalia are engraved on the stone for the inauguration. After the lawyers’ strike, the two main guests did not show up. To maintain credibility, the current Bar Council body later appointed senior advocates Sant Kumar, Praveen Jindal and Atma Ram Delu and inaugurated the chambers.

The protest was attended by many lawyers including senior advocate SK Batra, Jagmohan Dhariwal, Sube Singh Marothia, Devi Lal, Azad Marothia, Pradeep Jangra, Piyush Batra, Subhash Jangu, Sanjay Ahuja, Shammi Rathore, Ramanand Tanwar, Pawan Rathi and Amandeep Singh.
The issue of chamber allocation and construction is pending before the court.
In fact, 116 new chambers were created at the Bar. The matter is already making headlines in this regard. The accusation is that the bar association unfairly favored the contractor. In addition, around 25 lawyers have filed a complaint in the civil court in this regard, which also raised allegations of substandard materials used in the construction work. This case is still pending in court. During this time the bar body performed a chamber pull. It is alleged that rules were blatantly broken during the draw. Chambers were also allocated to lawyers who did not practice. Some “big people” were given rooms on the ground floor due to “some reservations.” Furthermore, not even the owners of the chambers were informed about the inauguration.
