For this reason, the power supply to the 11 kV power station was discontinued. The Electricity Corporation team began troubleshooting. Somehow a fault in two power cables was discovered in the afternoon on a block near ITI Chowk. Meanwhile, the rain also disrupted the work. If the power line fault could not be fixed by late evening, a team from Gurugram was called in to fix it. This error could not be corrected until the message was written.

Otherwise people’s problems could have ended up on the streets.

Old line started, load laid after 2 hours

The special team reached Sonepat from Gurugram on Wednesday afternoon. Using modern machines, the team found the error. But meanwhile it started to rain heavily. Because of this, the underground cable line was flooded. Given the circumstances, the team that arrived to repair the underground fault decided to wait before starting work. In such a situation, Electricity Corporation had to make the decision to take power over the old line.

Late in the night a box burst from the powerhouse, after its repair the power supply was put into operation. Then there was a fault in the underground cable. Cable fault was found, work is being done to fix it. The old line was restarted to restore power. The supply from the new line only takes place after the fault in the new line has been rectified; before that, an attempt is made to start supply from the old line. ,Vicky Gehlawat, SDO, Sonepat
