CM Manohar Lal publicized two projects in Gurugram: Road link will be improved from Hero-Honda Chowk to Dwarka Expressway via Basai ROB

CM Manohar Lal inaugurated two major projects namely Basai Chowk to Dwarka Expressway Railway Over Bridge (ROB) and the rejuvenation and beautification of Sikandarpur water body completed at a cost of Rs 32 crore in Gurugram district. With the realization of these projects on site, the infrastructure system in the district of Gurugram has expanded. The Prime Minister opened these two projects in a program organized in Sikandarpur on Friday evening.

Prime Minister Manohar Lal said that the newly built Railway Over Bridge in Basai would provide better connectivity for the people living in Hero-Honda Chowk to the Dwarka Expressway and surrounding sectors in the times to come, and relieve traffic pressure on the old ROB on Gurugram Road -Jhajjar set to decrease The four-lane ROB, part of the project linking Umang Bhardwaj Chowk to the Northern Peripheral Road (NPR) in Gurgaon, costs about Rs. rupees built. As part of this project, the Chief Minister had previously inaugurated an 820-metre, six-lane overpass and footbridge in Basai Chowk in November last year. The Haryana government has done a commendable job in upgrading infrastructure facilities to make life easier for the citizens of Gurugram.

Ecological Restoration of Sikandarpur Water Body and Watershed

The Prime Minister also inaugurated the water body rejuvenation and beautification project which has been developed on a 90-hectare area near Sikandarpur. In order to restore this water area, a letter of intent was signed between GMDA and the NGO IMGurgaon in April 2019. The rejuvenation of this body of water cost Rs 9.1 crore. This will encourage forest cover and the revitalization of ancient water bodies as part of a comprehensive green strategy in cities. Many private organizations provided financial help from CSR funds to make this project a reality. The Chief Minister thanked the business groups and I Am Gurugram for making this project a reality through the CSR Fund.
