CM Manohar Lal approved construction of a 3.8 km long new road along the elevated railway line in Rohtak

Chief Minister Manohar Lal today announced a major step to promote connectivity and infrastructure development in Haryana by allocating construction of a new road and an elevated railway line in Rohtak district at a cost of 315 billion. This ambitious project measuring 3790 meters long and 5.5 meters wide will be completed in 9 months and will provide seamless connectivity to the residents of Rohtak.

Giving details, the government spokesperson said that this new road from Chinyot Colony Rohtak to Sector 6 will benefit more than 50,000 people. It will connect various colonies including Gandhi Camp, Jhang Colony, Mansarovar Colony, Subhash Nagar, Kishanpura, Model Town, Laxmi Nagar, Kabir Colony, Vishal Nagar, Sector 5 and Sector 6.

Notably, the 3.8 km long elevated line at Rohtak was India’s first line built by the Ministry of Railways at a cost of Rs 315 billion, of which Rs 225 billion came from the government’s share. Prime Minister Manohar Lal inaugurated the project. Underlining its strategic importance, it will play an important role in driving economic growth, improving connectivity and improving the overall quality of life of residents of Rohtak district.
