Rohtak. Police have solved the blind murder case of taxi driver Sonu. His body was found in the JLN Canal. The driver was murdered because he sold alcohol in his car. In this case, police have arrested three youths from Jind district.

The accused include Deepak, Mohit from Ghoghadia (Jind) and Shamsher from Kalwa (Jind). During interrogation, it emerged that the accused Deepak had planned to rob a car to run the illegal liquor business. Deepak booked a cab for Haryana through Rapido app. After that, Deepak and Sonu had a phone conversation. On November 16, the accused left Delhi in a taxi. The taxi driver Sonu had his hands and legs tied with a cloth and was thrown alive into the canal. The defendant then fled the scene of the accident in Sonus Taxi. The accused also snatched the GPS installed on the vehicle and threw it into the canal. A case has been registered against the accused Deepak. The defendants were remanded in custody for 5 days.

During investigation, it emerged that the accused Shamsher and Mohit had earlier worked as taxi drivers in Hyderabad. Shamsher’s sister is married to Mohit’s family through which they know each other. The accused Deepak used to work as a contract salesman in Gurugram and Faridabad.

On November 18, the body of a youth was found on the railway track between Bhaloth junction of JNL canal in IMT area. The police team reached the spot and started investigations. The young man’s hands and feet were found bound with a parna. Attempts were made to identify the body but it could not be identified. On November 20, he was identified as Sonu, a resident of Bihar (Hal Hanuman Chowk, Delhi). Based on the complaint of the brother of the deceased youth, a case was registered at the IMT police station.

As per the directives of Police Commissioner Himanshu Garg, a special team led by Inspector Kuldeep Singh was formed to investigate the case. This also included CIA 1 employees and the responsible cyber chief Amit Kumar.
