Bahadurgarh: The Criminal Investigation Department II team has achieved great success in the fight against drugs. The team seized a huge consignment of illegal liquor from Surya Nagar Industrial Area. Eight vehicles, including 838 cases of alcohol and 36 cases of three brands of beer, were seized. The value of the seized liquor is stated in lakhs and this consignment was supposed to be delivered to other areas including Delhi. Two defendants were also arrested on site. A case was registered against the accused at Sector 6 police station. In the case, the name of a main suspect has also become known and a search for who has been initiated. The team carried out this operation based on classified information.

In fact, Inspector Vivek Malik, in-charge of CIA-2, had an inkling about the warehouse/stock of illegal liquor in Surya Nagar. He took the matter seriously, immediately assembled a team and sent them to the scene. During this time, a gallop was inspected standing in front of a warehouse filled with huge amounts of alcohol. When the team knocked on the warehouse afterwards, seven vehicles were also parked there, including three Tata Aces, two Bolero pickups, a Tempo and an Eicher Canter. Alcohol was found in the gallop and the rest of the vehicle was empty. During the investigation, a total of 838 cases of country liquor and 36 cases of beer were found from the two canisters outside and inside the warehouse. All plaster boxes are from three different brands. The police also arrested two accused at the scene. One of them was identified as Vijaypal from Roopgarh Bhiwani and the other as Manasvi from Friends Enclave Mundka (Delhi).

The name of the main accused was initially Yogendra alias Yogi. He lives in Asauda village. The company orders liquor carts from Sonipat and stores them at its warehouse in Surya Nagar Industrial Area. After this, the alcohol is delivered to other areas, including Delhi, using small vehicles. The arrested accused Vijaypal drives his car and works as Manasvi Munshi. The police are investigating who else is involved in the case. A case is currently pending against the accused at the Sector 6 police station. The police have started searching for the main accused Yogendra alias Yogi.

CIA-2 chief Vivek Malik said a consignment of illegal liquor was seized from Surya Nagar area. Eight vehicles were seized, of which 838 cases of alcohol (Pavva) and 36 cases of beer were recovered from two vehicles. A case was opened against the defendant. The matter is being investigated in detail. Other suspects will soon be arrested.
