Ambala: The accused jumped from the third floor after pushing the security guard.

Ambala: A prisoner undergoing treatment at the government hospital in Sector 32 in Chandigarh escaped after pushing the police personnel. The prisoner has been identified as Gagandeep Singh. He was brought here from Ambala around 1:30 pm at night. He had tried to commit suicide in prison by swallowing glass. For this reason, his condition remained critical. However, his health condition improved after treatment at Chandigarh Government Hospital. The police are looking for the accused in the case.

According to the information, the accused pushed the police officer deployed for security purposes during treatment and fled. He jumped from the third floor of the hospital. Now, Ambala police have lodged a complaint in this matter at Sector 34 police station in Chandigarh. Police have registered a case and started searching for the absconding prisoner. Police are also scanning the CCTV installed nearby to arrest the prisoner. The prison authorities have not yet released all information about the escaped prisoner. According to prison officials, the accused had attempted to commit suicide late at night by swallowing glass. Once found out, he was admitted to the Ambala City Civil Hospital in a critical condition. The doctors then referred him to Chandigarh for first aid. The police are now investigating the matter.
