Ambala: A fake police officer in police uniform was caught by hotel staff while checking hotel records. The hotel owner was suspicious of his personality. Together he didn’t even put a name tag on the uniform. When asked, he could not give a satisfactory answer. For this reason he was handed over to the police. The police have started a case against the accused and started investigations.

The accused was identified as Bhupendra Kumar from Kanwala village. Hotel owner Sunny Gupta said that he has a hotel called 4 Seasons near the bus station in Lalkurti Bazar of Ambala Cantt. Late at 8 o’clock he himself sat in the hotel. Meanwhile, a young man in a police uniform came to the reception. He said to have the hotel’s records checked. There was no name tag on the youth’s uniform. He became suspicious of the young man. When he asked the defendant which police station or branch office he was from, no one could answer. After that, Gupta’s suspicions intensified. He then asked the accused youth to show his identity card. When he hesitated, he informed the Lalkurti Police Department of the matter. During the interrogation, the accused also revealed his identity. After receiving the information, Lalkurti Chowki police reached the location. The accused was then arrested. A Section 171 case has been registered against the accused at Padav Police Station. Now the process is underway to bring him before the court.
