Air pollution: The Haryana BJP government has failed to resolve the crisis. Due to ongoing stubble burning, air pollution is increasing in Delhi. Therefore, the Chief Minister of Haryana should resign from his post. AAP national chief spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar said this in a press conference on Monday.

Kakkar says the Haryana government has no solution to the stubble. So far, three times more stubble has been burnt in Haryana than last year. There have been 62 incidents of stubble burning in Haryana in 2021, 80 in 2022 and 277 incidents so far in 2023, while efforts by the governments of Delhi and Punjab have reduced stubble pollution.

Kakkar said it would not be wrong to say that only the Delhi government was continuously active in the environmental sector. Be it the tree plantation policy of the Delhi government or electric public transport, the government has done a better job in all directions. Due to our continuous efforts, we received the State Leadership Award for our electric vehicle policy. AAP senior vice president, Haryana Anurag Dhanda was also present on the occasion.

Delhi’s climate will improve in 2023

A report of the 2022-2023 Economic Survey was presented in Parliament, which said that PM 2.5 fell by 22 percent and PM 10 fell by 27 percent from 2016 to 2021. In 2022, there was an 8 percent improvement in air quality in Delhi and in 2023, this improvement has increased to about 31 percent. The same year, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change released a report saying that Delhi’s air was the cleanest in 2023 in the last eight years, excluding the Covid period. But we are still not satisfied with this improvement, we still need to improve further.
