Weather Live Updates: The havoc of flood and rain is being seen from Delhi to Himachal. Due to rise in the water level of Yamuna, the low-lying areas near Kashmere Gate of Delhi were flooded. The river has risen to 208.46 meters till 7 am today, surpassing its highest of 207.49 meters recorded in 1978. Authorities in northern India are working on a war footing to rescue stranded tourists, restore vehicular traffic on roads and prevent flood waters from entering. BJP leader and former Himachal Pradesh CM Jairam Thakur visited Kullu district and took stock of the flood affected areas.

Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory saying that traffic is closed on Bhairon Road due to water logging near Railway Under Bridge. So use some other way. Commercial vehicles will not be allowed to enter Delhi and will be diverted towards the Eastern and Western Peripheral Expressways.
