The government is spending a lot of budget annually on the jails of Delhi. Most of the jails in Delhi are considered to be the most secure. Especially Tihar Jail is considered to be a very secure jail. However, the murder of Tillu Tajpuria on May 2 shows that the government’s claims are hollow. Tillu Tajpuria was killed in Tihar Jail in front of policemen. After these incidents of gang war in Tihar Jail, there was a stir in the jail administration. After this, questions were being raised regarding the system and security inside the jail. In such a situation, the Tihar Jail administration has now come into action mode.
QRT teams will be deployed in jails
After the murder of Tillu Tajpuria, QRTs have been deployed in other jails including Tihar. In view of the present situation, only one team of QRT has been deployed. However, if the need arises, the number of teams can be increased. This team has been provided with body protectors, electric baton, pepper spray, poles and other similar equipment, so that the situation can be brought under control immediately. Along with this, it is also being tried that the uniform of these people should also be different from the rest of the policemen.
Many big gangsters are being shifted
Looking at the situation in Tihar Jail, 25 to 30 gangsters are being sent to other wards, so that such violent situation can be controlled and there is no gang war between two gangs. After the murder of Tillu Tajpuria, there are strong possibilities of gang war in the jail.

Two big murders happened even before the murder of Tillu Tajpuria
Even before the murder of Tillu Tajpuria, two big murders have taken place. Earlier on 14 April 2023, Prince Tewatia was killed in a gang war inside Tihar Jail. Even after this, very serious questions were raised on the Tihar Jail administration. The police had failed to protect him even in judicial custody.

The role of the Deputy Superintendent of Jail in this incident came to the fore suspiciously. The Deputy Superintendent was suspended and arrested.
