New Delhi. Delhi Police has intensified anti-terror measures in the national capital ahead of the Republic Day celebrations. Patrolling is being increased in crowded places and markets. The ACP and station in-charge of the sub-division are holding regular meetings with the members of ‘Resident Welfare Association’ and ‘Market Welfare Association’ and informing them about the security measures being taken for the Republic Day.
The police have also urged people to be vigilant and inform about anything suspicious. Officials said that Delhi Police is also running an awareness campaign on social media. Tenants and servants are being verified. Along with this, surprise inspections are also being done in hotels, guest houses and dharamshalas, so that anti-social elements or any suspect cannot make these places a hideout. Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Dipendra Pathak said, “We have made tight security arrangements and anti-terrorist measures have been strengthened.” We will not allow any anti-social element or terrorist to succeed in their plan.
