Delhi Excise Policy Case: Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has moved the Supreme Court for bail. Sisodia has challenged the decision of the Delhi High Court. Explain that in the Delhi Excise Policy case, the High Court had refused to grant bail to Manish Sisodia in both the CBI and ED cases. After this Sisodia has approached the Supreme Court.

Manish Sisodia, an accused in the Delhi liquor scam case, was denied bail by the Delhi High Court in the CBI and ED case. Now Sisodia has sought relief from the Supreme Court challenging the decision of the High Court. Let us tell you that the CBI had arrested him on February 26 this year in the Delhi Liquor Policy case. After this, on March 9, the ED took him into custody.

Actually, Manish Sisodia had demanded bail citing the health of his wife, but the court refused. After this, the court had allowed him to meet his wife. At the same time, Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma rejected Sisodia’s bail plea saying that he is not eligible for bail at this stage.

The Delhi High Court, while rejecting Sisodia’s bail plea, had said that Manish Sisodia has held an influential position in the Delhi government. Due to which the possibility of influencing the witnesses on getting bail cannot be ruled out. That’s why they can’t be given bail.
