ED Raids:The Enforcement Directorate reached the residence of Delhi Minister Raj Kumar Anand on Thursday morning ahead of the agency’s questioning of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Apart from the minister’s residence in Civil Lines area, ED raids are going on on 9 premises related to him. Although Kejriwal will be questioned in the money laundering probe regarding Delhi’s liquor policy, it is not yet confirmed whether the ED raids on minister Raj Kumar Anand’s premises were also linked to him.

Rajkumar Anand Social Welfare Minister

Anand, 57, is the Minister of Social Welfare and SC-ST Welfare in the Arvind Kejriwal-led government. He is MLA from Patel Nagar. After the resignations of Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain, the education and health ministries were allotted to Labor Minister Raj Kumar Anand. However, later the health department was transferred to Saurabh Bhardwaj and education was handed over to Atishi.

ED summoned Kejriwal

This raid has taken place at a time when Manish Sisodia and AAP MP Sanjay Singh are in jail in separate cases. ED will interrogate Arvind Kejriwal today in the liquor case in which Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh were arrested. This is not the first time that Kejriwal will have to face questioning in a liquor case. In April, Kejriwal was summoned by the CBI and he was interrogated for 9 hours.

Aam Aadmi Party said that it came to know that ED will arrest Kejriwal. Delhi Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said on Wednesday that if Kejriwal is arrested, the party and the Delhi government will run from jail. AAP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha said that after Kejriwal, all opposition leaders will be targeted and put in jail before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, including Hemant Soren, Tejashwi Yadav, Mamata Banerjee, Abhishek Banerjee, MK Stalin and Pinarayi Vijayan. Leaders are involved.
