Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly Ramveer Singh Bidhuri has demanded that the two-day session of the Delhi Assembly, convened from August 16, be held for at least 10 days. In a letter written to Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goyal on Sunday, he has said that the two-day session is insufficient to discuss Delhi’s problems. Only BJP MLAs have given notice for discussion on 12 burning problems of Delhi. That’s why the duration of the session must be extended. In the letter, Bidhuri has discussed the 12 issues on which BJP MLAs have sent notices for discussion to the Vidhan Sabha.

‘Yamuna dirty even after giving 2419 crores to Delhi government’

These included misappropriation of crores in the panic button installed in the name of safety of women and prevention of untoward incidents, falsification of files of corruption cases from the vigilance department at midnight, expenditure of crores on converting Chief Minister’s residence into Sheeshmahal and dealing with floods. The failure of the Delhi government is the main one. Apart from this, the level of pollution is increasing continuously, the announcement of 450 tests in Mohalla clinics is not implemented, frequent breakdown of DTC buses, despite giving Rs 2419 crore to the Delhi government, the Yamuna is dirty, neither new schools nor schools Answer will also be sought from the government on the ban on new old age pension for principals, vice principals and teachers for five years. Other issues include non-receipt of ration to ration card holders and non-making of new ration cards and shortage of drinking water and supply of polluted water in Delhi.

‘CM Kejriwal should answer the questions of the public’

Bidhuri has said in the letter that the session of the Delhi Assembly has been called by the Aam Aadmi Party only for political propaganda which is unfair. If the problems and issues of the public are not discussed, then the usefulness of the Vidhansabha will end. That’s why the BJP Legislature Party wants that all the issues of the public should be discussed in the assembly and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal should answer the questions of the public on these issues. For this, it is necessary that the session of the assembly should be called for at least 10 days.
