Delhi Crime: Another sensational incident like Kanjhawala case has come to light in Delhi. A 43-year-old taxi driver died after being dragged for about 200 meters on the road in Delhi’s Mahipalpur area. This incident was captured in the CCTV camera installed on the road. Information about this incident was given to the police. Police have reached the spot and started investigation.
Police officer gave information
Giving information about the case, the police said that on Tuesday night around 11.30 pm, Bijendra was driving his taxi in Mahipalpur area when a group of robbers tried to snatch his cab, when he protested, then in an attempt to escape, they killed him in the taxi. They hit him and dragged him for more than 200 metres, resulting in his death. Police said he is a resident of Faridabad.
CCTV video of this incident has also surfaced. In this, a speeding taxi is seen dragging Bijendra near Mahipalpur on the Delhi-Gurugram highway. Delhi Police has registered a case on charges of murder and destruction of evidence. Six teams have been formed to nab the absconding accused. The biggest thing in this case is that at the time this incident was happening with Bijendra, there were many other vehicles on the road, but no one tried to help Bijendra.
What was the Kanjhawala incident?
A similar hit-and-drag case was reported in Delhi’s Kanjhawala area on January 1 when a 20-year-old woman and her friend were returning home on a scooter. A woman named Anjali Singh died when her scooter was hit by a car and dragged for 12 kilometers. His naked body was found a few kilometers away from the spot. All five accused were arrested.

A scandal like Kanjhawala had come to light in the VIP area of Delhi. In the capital, a young man riding a car hit two brothers riding a bike at the red light on Kasturba Gandhi Marg Tolstoy Marg adjacent to Connaught Place. After the collision, one boy jumped away and fell, while another boy fell on the roof of the car. Even after this the young man did not stop the car and continued driving for three kilometers. After this, the police took action and arrested the accused.
A similar case came to light in Keshavpuram, Delhi. Here the drunk driver of the car hit the scooter badly. The collision was so strong that the driver and his companion jumped into the air. A car collided with the roof and fell on the road. Whereas, the other one was stuck in the bonnet of the car. They were dragged for about 350 metres. Police had arrested 5 accused including the driver in this case.
