Delhi: Cook murdered at SC advocate’s house, arms and legs found inside bed, rope tied around neck

A shocking case has come to light from Delhi. Cook was brutally murdered inside the house of Amit Kumar, Senior Advocate of Supreme Court and Advocate General of the Government of Meghalaya, in Jangpura Extension. Cook’s body was found today i.e. Tuesday morning inside the bed in the Servant Quarters on the terrace. A rope was tied around the hands, feet and neck of the deceased. During the investigation, the police came to know that the armed miscreants entered the house and carried out the incident. Another employee was also injured in the stabbing.

Giving information about the case, the police said that Amit Kumar, senior advocate of the Supreme Court and Advocate General of the Government of Meghalaya, lives with the family at B17 Jangpura Extension in Delhi. For two days Amit Kumar had gone out of Delhi with his wife and daughter. His 84-year-old father, 23-year-old son, cook and office boy were present at the house. The cook gave food to the Advocate General’s father and son at around quarter to nine. Usually, after serving the food, the cook used to go to the servant quarter on the terrace, but his son saw around 9.30 pm that his mobile was kept in the kitchen on the second floor. Things were not organized there either.

He went to the third floor with the young man taking care of grandfather. The door was locked from inside. Both were knocking on the door when suddenly a man appeared from inside with a pistol. After this the Advocate General’s son went to the neighbor and informed about the miscreants. After some time the guard, Ankit and others reached the third floor. The miscreants had stabbed the office boy on the back and tied him to a chair in the chamber. The miscreants also tried to open the office but could not succeed. Meanwhile, the matter was also informed to the police. Police reached the spot but by then the accused had fled. Police searched the house but could not find Cook. The injured office boy was admitted to AIIMS.

The police left after a thorough search of the building last night. At around 10.30 am on Tuesday morning, when the employees working at the house opened the bed of the servant room on the terrace, the cook’s body was found in it. She was strangled to death with a rope. His hands and feet were also tied. On receiving the information, the police sent the dead body to AIIMS for postmortem. The name of the deceased has been described as Kamal. The involvement of a former employee of the Advocate General has been expressed in this case. He was fired on the 15th of last month. Police is also taking the investigation forward by taking possession of the CCTV camera footage.
