Delhi Assembly Special Session: Dilip Pandey, a member of the ruling party in the Assembly, on Monday moved a censure motion against opposition party (BJP) MP Manoj Tiwari for allegedly citing false facts in Parliament on the demolition campaign in Burari. As soon as this proposal was presented, a debate started in the House between the members of the ruling party and the opposition. Accusations and counter-accusations started from both sides.

Opposition members allege that ruling party member Sanjeev Jha was not present at the spot during the campaign, while Manoj Tiwari stayed there till late night to save people’s houses. Meanwhile, ruling party member Pandey said that he had gone to Burari with the Burari MLA.

Rakhi Birla made allegations

Meanwhile, AAP member Rakhi Birla alleged that Tiwari had misled the local people by telling them that their houses would be demolished. Meanwhile, BJP MLA Mohan Singh Bisht said that if someone is not a member of the assembly, his name should be brought for discussion. He also supported Tiwari’s stance on the issue.

However, the Assembly Speaker made it clear that if any MP makes a wrong statement in any constituency of Delhi Assembly, then it can be discussed in the Assembly. Let us tell you that a two-day special session of Delhi Assembly was called. In this session, MLAs could also ask questions about the departments related to the minister.
