New Delhi: Police reached on time and saved the life of a young man who was going to commit suicide by going live on Facebook. He had also consumed 40 intoxicant pills, after which he was admitted to GTB Hospital in an unconscious state. The police got information about the matter through Facebook officials. This case is related to Nand Nagri area. Now the police is getting the youth counselling.
DCP North East District Joy Tirkey said that the IFSO unit of Delhi Police had received information about the matter on Monday. It was told that a young man is committing suicide on Facebook Live. Two mobile numbers were also provided to the police in this connection. Immediately after this information came to the fore, the IFSO unit shared the information with the police of the district. Today, on Tuesday morning at around 9.06 am, Nand Nagri police station was informed about this matter.
After which the police swung into action and traced the young man’s house through his mobile number and the police reached the young man’s house located about 600 meters away from the police station. The police broke into the young man’s house and entered inside, where he was found lying unconscious on the bed. After this the youth was admitted to GTB Hospital. Police came to know that the family members of the youth had no information about this incident. Bullet wrappers have also been found from this young man’s house. He does private job. Was running in depression because of a girl. The relatives were also getting him treated.
Giving more information in this regard, the police said that the incident took place on Tuesday morning in Nand Nagri area. He said that with the help of Facebook officials, the police managed to save the young man’s life in time. At present, the youth is undergoing treatment in the hospital.
