All the works at the panchayat level have come to a standstill due to the strike by the women of Bihan. The striking women have submitted a memorandum to the MLA demanding that their demand be fulfilled.
On Saturday, MLA Ajay Chandrakar, who came to meet the women of the Bihaan group sitting on an indefinite strike in the Janpad Panchayat Kurud premises, was told by the women that the women working as creditors in urban and rural areas under the Rural Livelihood Mission Bihaan were given honorarium. They are on strike for the demand of providing honorarium every month including increase in salary, appointment certificate, regularization. Which is about to complete 19 days today, on which the government has no attention.
Honorarium not increased for five years
Block President of Bihaan Group Surekha Sahu said that all the PRP, FLRP, RBK, active women, Krishi Mitra, Pashu Sakhi and Bank Mitra of Bihaan all work diligently. Working from district to panchayat and village level. Due to which formation of self-help groups, livelihood activities, organic farming, Gauthan, pastures, Bari development, MNREGA are done through them throughout the month. Despite this, no increase has been made in the honorarium of all even after five years. Due to which the women of the group are facing difficulty in living.
Indefinite strike will continue till demand is met
Block Secretary Geetshwari Sahu told that most of the work in the present rural areas is done, but less amount is being received for this work. FLRP salary 5 to 10 thousand rupees, RBK salary 2200 to 8 thousand rupees, Bank Mitra salary 2500 to 8 thousand rupees, Active woman salary 1500 to 5 thousand rupees, Agriculture and Animal Sakhi salary 1500 to 5 thousand rupees per month Let’s do. The indefinite strike will continue until the demands are met.
The demand is justified, the Baghel government should fulfill it: Chandrakar
In this context, MLA Chandrakar said that the time has come for this government, which came to power by making false promises, it is useless to expect from them. When the Baghel government can give money to Gauthan Samiti, can release funds for Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club who do not do anything, then why don’t they have money for the women of Bihaan group who work really hard on the ground. They should fulfill their demands. The demand of women is justified, for this I will write a letter to Union Minister Giriraj Singh. During this, BJP District Vice President and former N.P.
