Ambikapur- In the cabinet meeting, the state government took several major decisions, out of which it has been decided to implement 58% reservation for admission in educational institutions. In his statement issued to the press today on this decision, former Home Minister of Chhattisgarh Government and Rajya Sabha MP Ramvichar Netam said that, Congress government finally implemented the rule on tribal reservation due to the opposition of all of us. According to which, out of the total 973 MBBS seats in medical colleges in the state, the students belonging to the Scheduled Tribes category will get full 300 seats according to 32%.

Had complained of cheating with the tribal youth…

Rajya Sabha MP Ramvichar Netam said that the Bhupesh government had cheated the youth of the tribal society of the tribal-dominated state by giving only 190 seats to the tribal students. Whose complaint we all BJP leaders had complained before the election co-incharge and Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. After which the Bhupesh government was forced to take a decision under the pressure of the central government and the BJP.

Tribal people will show the way out of power…

Attacking the Congress, Rajya Sabha MP Ramvichar Netam said that the tribal people of the state are going to show the Congress the way out of power in the upcoming elections. In order to understand the matter of reservation for tribals on medical seats, it is necessary to know that how the state government did not correctly represent the tribals of Chhattisgarh in the hearing of different petitions regarding reservation in the Hon’ble High Court and Hon’ble Supreme Court. MBBS first allotment list not released.

Regarding the first allotment list of MBBS, Rajya Sabha MP Netam said that the Medical Education Department deviated from its fixed time table and the first allotment list of MBBS was not released. The illegal reservation roster in MBBS was being opposed. After the decision of Guru Ghasidas Academy on 19 September 2022 by the Honorable High Court, the Bhupesh Baghel government did not give interim relief in the interest of tribals for seven months.

There was interim relief in the civil service examination.

On May 1, the Supreme Court had given interim relief to make recruitments in public service only from the reservation roster. This relief was given on the plea that the reservation has become completely zero and there is a shortage of human resources for the administration. Now if the Chhattisgarh government makes a new reservation policy without any reservation, then it would mean that it has lied in the Supreme Court.

Admission in MBBS was given through illegal reservation roster…

On May 9, the General Administration Department had accepted in its circular that at present there is no reservation for SC-ST-OBC in education. Since then, the General Administration Department has not issued any circular regarding the change in the situation. Even in session 2022, the Bhupesh Baghel government had given admission in MBBS from the illegal reservation roster itself, ignoring the protests of tribal youths?
