Bilaspur. The process of cancellation of trains continues. This time, Railways has issued an order to connect the third line at Amgaon railway station by stopping the wheels of 35 trains going from Bilaspur to Raipur and Nagpur. Including these 35 trains, the number of canceled trains has now crossed 165. Railways has not yet been able to complete the work on the third and fourth lines. Every month, under the pretext of some work or the other, Railways is canceling dozens of trains. Due to this, passengers are getting troubled the most. Passengers are forced to refund their confirmed tickets. The Chief Minister of the state has written letters to the Prime Minister twice requesting for regular running of canceled and delayed trains.
At the state level, Congressmen also organized Rail Roko agitation. Despite this, there is no impact on the Railways. In the last 15 days, Railways had canceled more than 125 passenger trains due to interlocking work in different sections. In this, the operation of Howrah-Mumbai trains had just started when on Wednesday, a notification was issued from the Zone Headquarters regarding connecting the third railway line between Rajnandgaon-Kalmana railway section of South East Central Railway Nagpur Railway Division with Amgaon Railway Station, electronic interlocking. To carry out the work, operation of 35 trains has been canceled from 7 to 14 October.
