Janjgir-Champa. A half-burnt body of a youth has been found in Chhattisgarh’s Janjgir-Champa district. The name of the deceased is 39 Pradeep Choubey, who did not return home since Sunday night. On receiving the information of the incident, the police reached the spot. At present, the body has been sent for postmortem. The case is of Naila Chowki police station area.
According to the information received, the half-dead body was recovered from the farm at a distance of 500 meters from the village on Tuesday in village Birkoni of Naila Chowki police station area. Forensic team from Bilaspur has also been called for investigation. In the initial investigation, the police have considered it a case of murder. The body has currently been sent for postmortem. Further action will be taken after the postmortem report comes. Naila outpost in-charge Neelam Kujur says that Pradeep Choubey, his elder brother Manoj Choubey and another person from the village had gone to Akaltara for some personal work on Sunday evening. After this they reached Mouhadih. Here these people had given for TV repairing. Manoj told Pradeep to bring the TV home when it is repaired. After this Manoj returned to village Birkoni along with another villager who had gone with him.
Identification by belt, cap and sandal
When Pradeep did not return home, the elder brother searched around, but could not find anything about the younger brother. When Manoj went to the market to sell paddy the next day, he was told by some people that a burnt body of a young man was found in the field, from which smoke was coming out. After this he went to see the burnt dead body in the field. The body was half burnt, but he identified it to be Pradeep from the rod, sandal, belt and cap found some distance away from the spot.

Pradeep had undergone an operation some time ago, in which the doctors had put a rod in his hand, seeing which his elder brother identified him. Two years ago, the deceased used to work in the PIL company for running highways. He was addicted to alcohol. Later, he had given up his job as a driver and stayed at home. Naila Chowki in-charge said that after killing, the dead body was burnt with Para. At present the matter is being investigated.
