Questions on selection of relatives of leaders

In his petition, MLA Nankiram Kanwar has raised questions on the selection of Raj Bhavan Secretary Amrit Khalko’s son and daughter as Deputy Collector as well as several Gallup relatives of PSC Chairman Taman Singh Sonwani as well as relatives of many leaders. The High Court has also expressed surprise after hearing the petitioner’s views. According to the Chief Justice, it is natural for children of officers to be selected in other institutions including PSC, but what is the coincidence that close relatives of the PSC Chairman have been selected. This is very wrong. The court said that their appointment should be stopped. The Division Bench has also directed to investigate the appointments to 18 posts of Chairman, officers and people close to the leaders of the ruling party.

Selected contestants also filed intervention petition

During the hearing on Wednesday, the selected contestants filed an intervention petition. It was said that five appointments have already been made, hence the ban is not justified. The court has said that except his appointment, there will be a ban on the appointment of the rest of the list. During the hearing, this fact also came to light that Nitesh Singh, who was said to be the son of PSC Chairman Taman Singh, is the son of former Sarpanch Rajesh. On this the Chief Justice expressed displeasure at the petitioner’s lawyer. Similarly, an intervention application has also been submitted on behalf of Pragya Nayak. In the case, the government lawyer on behalf of the government asked for time and told the court that the state government is looking into the matter. The appointment is also being investigated. Right now the Advocate General is out. After his arrival, a detailed answer to this entire matter will be presented. The state government has said that it will investigate the matter itself and present its reply before the court.

Conspiracy of officials:Raman

Former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh said, the Congress government has failed in the PSC transparent process. It is a matter of the future of lakhs of youth of Chhattisgarh. Today the court clearly expressed its displeasure. The government did not spare even the PSC in corruption. Money to money transactions were done. There was a conspiracy by the officials. It is surprising that many relatives of the PSC Chairman are selected for the post of Deputy Collector, DSP.

Will work on court orders: Bhupesh

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said, BJP leader Nanki Ram Kanwar has gone to court. We are following the orders of the court. He said, PSC recruitment was done in 2003 during his regime. In 2016, a decision was taken that there were irregularities in the merit list, till now its decision is awaited. If the court orders an investigation, we will get the investigation done. The court should direct us and we will work on it.
