Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev sai
Jeetendra Soni- Jashpur. Newly elected MLA Vishnudev Sai from Kunkuri assembly of Jashpur district situated in the far north-east of Chhattisgarh has become the Chief Minister. Vishnudev Sai, who grew up in Gram Panchayat Bagiya village of the district, was born on 21 February 1964. His father’s name is Ramprasad Sai and mother’s name is Jasmani Devi.
Primary education in village school
Talking about the education of Chhattisgarh’s new Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, his primary education was from Bagiya Primary School of the village. Further studies: Studied at Loyola Higher Secondary School, Kunkuri from 6th to 11th class till 1981. After this, Vishnudev, the eldest among the four brothers, left further studies due to family reasons and started farming with his father at home.
Beginning of political journey from Panch post
Being educated in the village at that time, he started his political career in 1989. For the first time in 1989, he became Ward Panch in Gram Panchayat, then in 1990, he was elected unopposed as Sarpanch of Bagiya Panchayat. As soon as he became Sarpanch, he was made the BJP candidate from Tapkara Assembly seat from 1990 to 1998 and for the first time, at the age of 26, he became an MLA in the then Madhya Pradesh Assembly.
Was MP from 1999 to 2014
He was elected MP on 27 May 1999 and remained MP till 2014. Along with this, in the cabinet of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he was the Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Steel-Mining and Labor Employment Department from 2014 to 2019. He held the post of State President of the party from 2020 to 2022. He remained as a special invitee National Working Committee member from 2022. In the 2023 assembly elections, he again became MLA from Kunkuri assembly by defeating Congress candidate UD Minj by 25 thousand 787 votes.
What are their children doing?
Vishnudev Sai has two daughters. The first daughter Nivriti Sai is married in Phasarpani of Dhamtari district. Whereas the other daughter Smriti Sai is preparing for PSC while staying in Raipur. The only son Tosendra Dev Sai is currently studying in college in Raipur.
