National Ramayana Festival: Singer Shanmukh Priya recited bhajans, audience danced in devotional atmosphere

Raigad. A three-day National Ramayana Festival has been organized in Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh, the maternal grandfather of Lord Rama. On the first day of this event, on June 1, Indian Idol fame singer Shanmukh Priya tied the knot by singing bhajans. People started dancing on his hymns.

It is noteworthy that on June 1, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel started the National Ramayana Festival. Addressing the meeting, he said that, Bhancha Ram belongs to everyone. Apart from 12 states, artists from abroad have also reached the National Ramayana Festival. Renowned singer Shanmukh Priya also performed here on Thursday. He started his performance with the slogans of Jai Johar and Chhattisgarhiya Sable Badiya. He told that, I have come to Chhattisgarh for the first time and I am feeling very good.

Singer Shanmukh Priya tied the knot with hymns

Singer Shanmukh Priya turned the atmosphere devotional with Meera Bai’s famous bhajan ‘Payo Ji Maine Ram Ratan Dhan Payo’. Then started his performance with the song ‘Deva Shree Ganesha’. The audience thronged to hear him. People were seen swinging in the devotion of Shri Ram.

Ramkatha will be held for three days in Ramlila Maidan

Ramayana troupes from Odisha, Goa, Karnataka, West Bengal, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh will participate and perform in the three-day National Ramayana Festival. Ramkatha will be held for three days at Ramlila Maidan in Raigad and Kumar Vishwas will give his presentation on the last day.
