Enishapuri Goswami-Mohalla. Ten thousand words of Gondi language are being searched in Chhattisgarh’s Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki Scheduled Tribe district. Scholars belonging to Gond Samaj, who have reached from 6 states in the remote Vananchal Aundhi region of Manpur, development block of Vananchal region of the district, have started the language collection journey to make Ghodi standard dictionary.
It is worth mentioning that Gondi Bhasha Sangraha Yatra has been organized to make Gondi standard dictionary in Sarkheda, Navagaon, Bookmarka, Pugda, Gattegahan and Sambalpur of Koracha region of Aundhi Vananchal area of Manpur block. In this, 6 states Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Gondi language experts from Maharashtra, West Bengal and Odisha have started working with the Vanvasi Gond community to prepare 10,000 synonyms and standard words from 40 villages under the direction of the State Project Office for Holistic Education.
Looking for 10 thousand synonyms and standard words
It may be mentioned that earlier 4 workshops on this subject have also been organized in Bastar. The Gondi Bhasha Sangraha Yatra was started on 16th April after offering prayers at Panabaras of Mohalla Development Block. Shubhranshu Chowdhary, who was present there, told that, until the words of Gondi language are not standardized, how will newspapers and literature be published in Gondi language. Gondi Dharmacharya and retired teacher, Damkasa resident Sher Singh Aanchala said that, we are constantly trying to make Gondi a language. For this, 10 thousand synonyms and standard words are being searched. The first Chhattisgarh government has supported it.
People from different states participated in this journey.
Tell that, through this journey, what are the words of Hindi language called in Gondi language, those words are being collected. People from 40 villages of Manpur block of the district have participated in this yatra. Jagannath Parui Shanti Niketan University, Sunil Kumar Muzaffarpur, Atin Das Delhi, Suklal Surajpur, Nandu Uike, Mohan Yadav, Shiv Prasad, Sonu Ivane, Mahendra Komre, BEAOR Kaur, District Mission Coordinator from Betul, Maharashtra from West Bengal in Gondi word collection journey About a dozen people from Chhattisgarh are engaged in this search along with Satish Beauhare, Rafiq Ansari, Chetna Chandrakar, Poonam Patel, Shashikant Soni. The work of Gondi Shabd Sangrah Yatra will continue till 22 April 2023.
