According to the information received, some laborers from Aragahi Navapara village of Balrampur district had gone to work as laborers in the Ahluwalia Construction Company located in Bangalore for employment. But the workers were being paid less than their fixed wages by the company and apart from this the workers were also being made to work overtime. At the same time, the laborers were forcibly kept hostage at the company’s work site.

After which some laborers fled from there and came back to their village and informed the regional MLA Brihaspati Singh about the incident. After the report of the regional MLA, the police formed a team and sent it to Bangalore. The 9 laborers taken hostage by the company were first brought back to their home village safely after getting their due wages recovered from the company.
