Akash Singh Pawar / Pendra-Marwahi. The work of cutting trees was going on for several days in the Marwahi Forest Division of Chhattisgarh. On receiving the complaint, the forest department, while taking action at two places, seized wood worth about two lakhs. As soon as DFO Satyadev Sharma was informed about the cutting of trees in the forest, the teams of Gaurela and Khodri range, in a joint operation, seized 19 pieces of teak wood from the premises of a trader in Gaurela. According to the information, the Forest Department team has seized a total of 4 cubic meters of wood and a pickup vehicle at both the places, the cost of which is said to be around two lakh rupees.
