Village Mohdi is located at a distance of 3 km from Chandkhuri, the city of Mata Kaushilya. Here the temple of Ramlala is locked for almost 7 years. Ramlala’s Nanihal Chhattisgarh, which was also known as Dakshin Kosala in ancient times. Ramlala’s maternal uncle’s house is in Chandkhuri village, 20 kilometers away from Raipur, the capital of South Kosal Chhattisgarh. This village is considered to be the birthplace of Mata Kaushilya. There is also a temple of Mata Kaushilya here. This is the reason why the people here worship Lord Rama as a nephew. Not only this, the people here worship their sister’s son as Lord Rama. In fact, there is a temple of Lord Ram in village Mohdi adjacent to Kaushilya Dham Chandkhuri in Chhattisgarh. The temple of Lord Rama is locked here due to the ongoing war between two families over the suzerainty. Due to the ongoing dispute between the two families regarding the ownership rights of the temple, this temple has been kept closed.

Village sarpanch Dhanesh Dhruv tells that this temple was built hundreds of years ago. Kaval Prasad Dubey used to perform puja in the temple as Savarkar, after whose death his son Ballu Prasad performed the puja, after his death, today’s son Keju Prasad has been performing the puja for nearly 50 years. The family was appointed in the service of the temple and entrusted with the responsibility of about 8 acres of land in the temple. In this, the priest families renovate the temple by living their lives. Painting and painting used to do the entire maintenance work. Shriram temple is closed since 2017

Village chief Deraha Ram Verma told that Keju Prasad Sharma’s family has been serving in the temple for three generations continuously as a government temple priest for 150 years. For this, 8 acres of land from the government is in the name of Keju Prasad Sharma. In 2017, Jitendra Tiwari of the village claimed the temple and the land and allegedly locked the temple. Since then (2017) this temple is closed. Deraha Ram told that since then there is a fight going on between the two families for the rights of this temple. Due to this, all the villagers are deprived of worshiping Lord Shriram for 7 years.

Sarpanch and the priest of the temple told the importance

Sarpanch Dhanesh Dhruv wants the temple to be opened so that the people of the village can have darshan. On the other hand, Jitend Tiwari of the village makes a different claim regarding the temple. Savarkar temple priest Keju Prasad father Ballu Prasad Sharma says that father, grandfather and myself from the family have been reciting worship of the temple for one and a half hundred years continuously.
