It is being told that due to cloud burst, there was flood in Damudhara and nearby rivers and streams came in spate. Due to the cloud burst, water entered the houses along with the surrounding fields. Due to which life was badly affected. During this time, water started flowing in Korba-Sakthi road and due to this, there was a jam situation for hours.

It has been raining heavily in the district for the last 36 hours. Continuous rain continues in the neighboring areas of the district also. Meanwhile, there is news of cloud burst along with thunder in the hilly area Damudhara at around 6 am on Saturday morning. Due to cloud burst, a flood like situation has arisen in the rivers and streams of this area. Also, hundreds of acres of fields have been submerged in water. Traffic on the Korba-Sakti road was disrupted for hours. There are reports of water entering many houses in the area. Due to which life was completely affected. It is said that in the year 2013 also a similar incident of cloud burst had occurred here.

There are reports of knee-deep water flowing in areas where the height of bridges and culverts is very low. Traffic is also being disrupted in such areas.
