Bilaspur. In Chhattisgarh’s capital Raipur, Mayor Ejaz Dhebar’s elder brother Hanif Dhebar filed a writ petition in the High Court against the ED’s action. The court decided to hear the case as a civil writ or criminal writ petition.
Let us tell you that a preliminary hearing was held on the petition of Hanif Dhebar, elder brother of Raipur Mayor Ejaz Dhebar, and businessman Hanif Dhebar, in a single bench of Justice P Sam Koshi. The petition said that the ED conducted the raids without issuing summons and warrants. The petitioner termed the action of ED as illegal. Said that, the only reason for the raid at his residence is his kinship with the Dhebar family.

The petitioner further stated that, the ED officials did not allow us to go out of the house for 24 hours during the raid. He said that the month of Ramzan is going on. For the last 45 years, we go to offer Namaz, but on Tuesday the ED stopped us from going to the mosque. We are upset by this. ED’s action is not only corrupt, but has also violated fundamental rights.
