Jashpur. Illegal blasting was done in an under-construction house at Pathalgaon in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh. During this, 2 laborers were seriously injured. The injured have been referred to Ambikapur Hospital in critical condition. Both the injured laborers are residents of Susdega village.
According to the information received, a column was being inserted in the under-construction house of Amit Agarwal in Chetwani Colony of Pathalgaon Nagar Panchayat. During this, a stone came at a place to insert the column. The contractor decided to break this stone by blasting it. The contractor had called two laborers for blasting using explosives, but due to the unplanned explosion, both the laborers got seriously injured.

After the incident, both the injured were admitted to the local civil hospital. After giving first aid there, the doctors told that one of the laborers’ finger has been amputated and the other has lost his eyesight. He further said that the condition of the injured is serious and they have been referred to Ambikapur for better treatment. Top officials reached the spot and inquired about the incident. After this the officials told that no permission was taken for the blasting. The officials have said to take action against the concerned contractor after investigation.
A week ago, the girl student died due to blasting in the mine.
Let us tell you that on February 15, a girl student was killed by a stone thrown from heavy blasting in Kunkuri police station area of Jashpur district. On Wednesday evening, blasting was done to break stones in the Mayali stone quarry. The explosion was so strong that a huge piece of stone fell on the head of a girl student standing 1 kilometer away from the mine. Due to this he died on the spot. After the incident, the collector ordered a magisterial inquiry. On the other hand, the manager of the stone quarry, Sanjeev Kumar Pandey, was taken into custody by the police and the collector instructed to close the quarry immediately.
